9th European Peritoneal Dialysis Meeting 

The 9th European Peritoneal Dialysis meeting will be held in the Palais des Congrés, Strasbourg, France, from Friday, October 9 to Monday, October 12, 2009.

As part of the theme “PD for All,” the conference will seek to explore and offer guidance on how PD can be optimized to give patients from different demographic groups and with varying comorbid conditions the opportunity to use PD and to get the best clinical outcomes.

Scientific Symposia and Clinical Practice Sessions will cover topic areas such as PD in the elderly, pediatric PD, as well as issues related to PD and diabetes, heart failure, and infection. The symposia will combine the expert views of generalists and PD specialists, and several sessions will be devoted to debating some of the most controversial issues in PD today. As part of a EuroPD training initiative, expert tutorials in membrane function, fluid assessment, infection management, statistical analysis, and clinical study design will also be offered.
